AN HOUR TO IMPROVE BUSINESS SALES

Time is very important in all aspects of life especially in business. Time is something one shouldn’t take lightly and when one is doing the best they can to maximise every opportunity to grow their business, time is something they definitely need to manage wisely.

Marketing has always been a vital element to reach potential customers to boost sales and one of the ways to reach those potential customers are through photography and videography. Videos, in particular, have started to become more accessible and more instrumental in marketing because it is very helpful in a customer’s decision process due to the helpful information (both visual and audio) it provides.

Lately, I have been challenging myself and my team to work more efficiently to provide an array of shots that will be workable enough to create promotional materials within a shorter timeframe without sacrificing quality. It has been a rewarding process and it is something that I will definitely continue to strive for excellence at! One of the ways I found helpful was ensuring that I prepare a shot list in advance. Having a battle plan in my head keeps my mind in focus which results to a more productive use of time.

Here are some examples of our shoots that we’ve done at a shorter timeframe:

All of these shoots have been done within 2-3 hours and are one of several array of different videos. The 3FaceTrio was shot within an hour (not including set up and pack up time) and we managed to do 7 different video edits for their promotional pack. These shoots don’t come without prior consultation. It was very important to me to understand what the goals of the videos were to help plan my shoots. If I needed to be efficient, I needed to be as prepared as much as possible to lessen the amount of time wasted.

If you’re starting out with videography and are wanting tips to help you get it right as you try to challenge yourself with this, here’s a summarised set of tips and tricks:

  1. CONSULTATION IS VITAL

    • A great communication between you and your client will make a huge difference in your preps. This will also help prepare your client on what they can expect on the shoot day and what they need to prepare on their end.

  2. PREPARATION IS KEY

    • Preparing your shot list in advance will lessen your ‘thinking time’ on the shoot day.

  3. KNOW YOUR GEAR

    • Knowing your gear will help you set up and pack up in the quickest and most efficient way. This takes practice so if you can, give yourself every opportunity to train your speed!

Hope this helps you, fam! I’d be keen to know if you have other tips you think is worth sharing to help with efficiency. Don’t hesitate to reach out on our social media.

Peace out for now!
