ALL TIME EASTER CLASSICS

Your Favourite Easter Treats in One Place

Have you noticed your Easter favourites are being brought out onto the shop floor earlier and earlier every year? And we’re not complaining! What do you look forward to during Easter? The hot cross buns, chocolate bunnys or bite sized eggs?

We have provided a list of delicious treats and savoury favourites that will spark your cravings for this Easter.

Hot Cross Buns

What is your go-to hot cross bun flavour? With so many flavours to choose from, there’s something for everyone with a hot cross bun. You cannot go wrong with a traditional plain bun. But my personal favourite is double chocolate chip from Bakers Delight. And it is even better when you toast it. It oozes with warm chocolate. Do you want to know which hot cross bun is for you? Check out this short quiz to help you choose a flavour for you.

For a bit of a twist, Get Chunky has brought out a limited edition hot cross bun flavoured cookie. I’m sure it tastes as good as it looks!

Chocolate Bunnys

Do you bite off the head first or smash the chocolate into pieces of goodness? Either way, the chocolate still tastes unreal! I look forward to Cadbury Dairy Milks chocolate bunnys every year. Just the classic, plain milk chocolate satisfies my sweet tooth perfectly. What’s your favourite chocolate flavour?

Chocolate Eggs

From Cadbury Dairy Milk, Ferrero Rocher, Lindt and Red Tulip, there’s plenty of options for everyone. Who remembers Red Tulip’s Humpty Dumpty Easter Egg? This was truly my favourite as a child!

Cake

Carrot cake, pavlova, brownies, chocolate cake and hummingbird cake all top the list for Easter dessert favourites. If you don’t have time to bake up some desserts, check out Fatboi Brownies and Ox Rabbit for mouth watering goods.

Kouraviethes

This is a classic for all you Greek and Macedonian families. These are light, melt-in-your-mouth short breads that can be enjoyed by any family for Easter.

Seafood

Easter is a great occasion to enjoy fresh fish, barbecue prawns, salmon and other delicious seafood. I enjoy some garlic prawns or even lemon drizzled on fish.
