YOU ARE ENOUGH

At some stage of our lives, we experience self-doubt. Self-doubt usually comes into play to protect us from potential loss, failure or disappointment. It can stem from your fears, lack of confidence or certainty to do something. Acknowledging and addressing feelings of self doubt is really important in order to see where it’s coming from and how to overcome it. You could be feeling doubtful about your career pathway, your personal life (which often way on our shoulders) to even minor and less risky situations. Whatever is causing you to experience doubt, remember you’ve got this and you are enough! Sometimes we just need a little reminder during these situations, whether it’s from yourself or from others.

Some suggestions to overcome feelings of self-doubt are:

  • Reflect- Take a moment to reflect on yourself, who you are, how you think and your decision making process. Consider what it is that is making you doubt yourself and try to address the cause.

  • Keep a journal - recording when you feeling most self-doubt can help you overcome it.

  • Talk to someone - airing your thoughts can help relieve doubt and get some helpful advice from a trusted friend.

  • Meditation - sometimes stress can cause you to doubt yourself more, so try giving meditation a go. This can help you relax and feel more confident in your decisions.

  • Start your day with positivity - remember you are enough, not just today but everyday! Starting your day with a positive mindset can help give you that boost of confidence throughout the day.
