REOPENING OF WA CAFES
Who’s excited now that the restrictions have been eased in WA? We are!
We can’t believe so many businesses operating in the food industry have been temporarily closed for over 8 weeks! Over this difficult period, it’s been amazing seeing so many business adapt to providing takeaway and delivery services. Now that WA continues to flatten, the restrictions in have begun to ease.
As of Monday the 18th of May, restaurants and cafes (pubs, bars, hotels, the casino and community clubs inclusive) are allowed to open for table service meals, providing there is a 4 square metre distance per person in the dining area.
We want to know what the first cafe or restaurant you will be supporting with Phase 2 easing of restrictions. Where will you be dining?
Some of our favourites are The Little Bay and Lot Six Zero. They have a great brunch menu and customer service. One of our favourites from Lot Six Zero is their Matcha Pancakes (they are gluten and dairy free too!). For something more savoury, you can’t wrong with the Big breakfast or Big Veggie Breakfast. Both are very generous servings and fill you up. You won’t be left hangry from here, guaranteed! While the weather is still sunny, we would love to grab a delicious Mushroom and Grilled Cheese Toastie and Mocha from The Little Bay. If you haven’t tried their toastie, you’re missing out! This is the perfect time to spend a Sunday morning with family or friends grabbing a bit to eat and taking your dog for a walk along the coast.
We also look forward to going to the Merrywell Perth and getting a juicy burger with crispy fries! With the Crown opening up some of its restaurants, we would like to try Nobu. We’ve heard amazing things about their food, so this is definitely on our list!

This is no doubt a very exciting time for business owners, staff and you, the customer! So, go out and support your favourite cafes and restaurants. But remember, a maximum of 20 seated customers are allowed to dine in at once. So if you’re popping into your local cafe for a coffee, grab one for takeaway.
Keep practicing social distancing and good personal hygiene to continue flattening the curve. Keep up the good work WA!
