HOW TO SPEND YOUR EASTER LONG WEEKEND
Things to do on the Easter weekend in WA
The Easter long weekend is just around the corner. Yay! We are very excited to spend time with family and eat lots and lots of chocolate.
What are your plans for Easter?
If you’re running out of ideas of things to keep you entertained, we’ve got your back. From a road trip to a family Easter egg hunt, there’s so much you can do this Easter.
1. Go on a road trip in WA
The best way to escape the stress of every day work load is to take a road trip. Grab your close gal pals, mates or your family, and enjoy a trip around WA. Take a day trip to Shark Bay or Monkey Mia for beautiful coastal walks and a swim. Or Lancelin and The Pinnacles for something different.
In the other direction, Perth to Esperance makes a scenic road trip with some very promising results like Pink Lake. You could travel from Perth to Augusta, visiting the mind-blowing Caves Road section. You’ll never get bored of these views no matter how many times you’ve seen it. If you’re feeling adventurous, explore the treetop walks in Denmark and WA’s rural towns like Bridgetown, Nannup and Pemberton.
2. Spend the weekend down south
Wine tasting, cheese, chocolate indulgence and gorgeous beaches… isn’t this what Easter is made of? We think so! Relax and explore some of the best Margaret River wineries and breweries. My personal favourites are Vasse Felix and Voyager Estate.
For an unforgettable chocolate experience, you can’t go wrong with Margaret River Chocolate Factory and Gabriel Chocolate. Their chocolate will have you coming back for more.
A great destination to buy some awesome products is at Vasse Virgin. I love their hand crafted raw soaps and delicious gourmet food range. I guarantee this will be one of your favourite experiences down south.
While you’re down there, don’t forget to check out the Margaret River Farmers Market on Saturdays, where you can find the best local produce and recipes that will inspire you in the kitchen.
3. Family BBQ
Who doesn’t love a bbq? Guilty! Invite some friends and family for a bbq lunch or dinner with juicy streaks, sausages or barbecue prawns. This is guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser!
4. Picnic under the sun
A simple, but always a good way to enjoy a lazy long weekend afternoon. From Kings Park to Cottesloe Beach, there are plenty of picnic locations to choose from for your long weekend. All you have to do is bring along some delicious sandwiches, fresh fruit and of course… chocolate and champagne.
5. Eat and drink chocolate
Chocolate can solve anything, whether your eating a chocolate bunny to yourself at home, or going out for a chocolate treat. Do you love anything chocolate?
6. Easter Egg Hunt
Have your own Easter egg hunt at home with your family. There’s always a bit of fun in an Easter Egg hunt no matter what your age.
Even though we aren’t kids anymore, the Iceberg Media team are kids at heart when it comes to a nostalgic chocolate egg hunt.
I hope you enjoy this read.
