BEST & WORST APRIL FOOLS’ DAY JOKES BY COMPANIES IN 2019
Our Favourite April Fools’ Day Jokes 2019
A pinch and punch for the first day of the month… yes that saying is back now that we’ve reached the 1st of April. Four months into the year and we are not surprised by some classic April fools campaigns by well-known companies.
To continue with the theme, we would like to share a few of our favourites from this year.
Subway’s Bread Fragrance
Do you love the smell of freshly baked bread? I honestly love the smell of fresh bread, whether it’s from Baker’s Delight or homemade bread. The smell is unreal that I always want to demolish the bread, just from smelling it. Subway announced they had created a ‘Bread Fresh’ fragrance for consumers to enjoy at home. Would this be your dream come true?
Domino’s Candied Pepperoni Thick-shake
Domino’s has provided us nothing less than a classic April fools joke. After a huge demand, Domino’s attempted to fool their fans with a Candied Pepperoni Thick-shake (I know right- I couldn’t imagine eating this). The product featured candied pepperoni pieces sprinkled on top of vanilla ice cream, with a swirl of sweet pepperoni syrup. Would you have thought this was a real product added to their menu?
Youfoodz adds KidsFoodz to the menu
Youfoodz announced this morning that three new meals would be added to the menu. And they definitely have a kids theme. The three additions included.
Unicorn Bread- soft brioche bread with rainbow protein sprinkles dusted on the top. Let’s be honest, who doesn’t love fairy bread? I think if this was legit, I would be ordering some of this goodness.
Little Franks- hand-stuffed pork and thyme mini franks. Pairs well for the footy season.
Nuggs ‘N’ Sauce- panko breadcrumb coated chicken bites, served with house-made sweet and sour sauce. Now that’s a treat.
Get to work on time with UberGo
Uber came out with their UberGo product, suggesting it would fight congestion on the roads and reduce pollution. The pogo stick might have been your key to getting around. I don’t know about you but I would still prefer a car or bike to get me around.
Sportsbet steps it up with the Opera House
Sportsbet tried to fool the public with their joke of a three-year agreement with the newly elected NSW Government to be the official naming rights sponsor of the Sydney Opera House. Once the sun sets, the famous sails change to blue, Sportbets brand colour. This definitely caught peoples attention. And being such a huge public display would have fooled quite a few people.
