G'DAY! IT’S AUSTRALIA DAY!

Australia day means different things to all of us. For some, it celebrates the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British ships, whilst to others it signifies a day of invasion to the Indigenous Australians. We are all very different people, with different backgrounds, stories to share and beliefs. We may not come from the same place or have the same experiences. But there’s one thing we all share in Australia, that connects us to one another. We are Australian! We live in a beautiful country with diversity and multiculturalism. No matter what we believe Australia day to be or where our personal stories began, it is a day for all Australians to come together to celebrate our contemporary nation and acknowledge our history. It is important we remember our past whilst celebrating our growth as a nation, our beautiful country.
